Abstract
Childbirth can be a primary trigger for post-traumatic stress disorder or retraumatize survivors of previous stress. This article aims to increase midwives' understanding of this disorder, particularly in relation to the perinatal period, so that they can respond appropriately when caring for these women.Keywords
