Glaucoma Detection in Memphis, Tenn

Abstract
Over 2.5 years, a glaucoma detection program discovered 334 persons with unrecognized and untreated glaucoma among 14,365 persons tested. Attributes which appeared to influence prevalence rates in the groups under study were age, color, the presence of other illness, and occupation. Possible explanations for the differences observed in prevalence rates of unrecognized glaucoma are presented.
