Abstract
The cold-rolling and annealing textures of a deep-drawing phosphorus steel have been studied by the spatial orientation distribution of the crystallites. The characteristics of the orientation distribution functions of the as-cold-rolled and of the annealed sheets were closely examined. The observed features suggest that the annealing texture is originated by microband or transition-band nucleation, followed by the growth of recrystallized grains at the expense of the matrix deformation textures. The crystallite orientation distribution of the annealed sheet of the deep-drawing phosphorus steel is clearly different from that of the annealed sheet of deep-drawing aluminum-killed steels. Keywords
