A case of splenic tumor exhibiting a pleomorphic angiographic vascular pattern simulating malignancy is reported. In view of this patient's documented lumbar trauma, the diagnosis of organizing hematoma was favored. The relationship to splenic hamartoma and the difficulties in distinguishing these, and similar lesions, are presented.
