Abstract
A data inversion procedure for the electrical aerosol analyzer, based on a simplex minimization algorithm, is described. The method has been tested extensively using data which were generated by a numerical simulation of the instrument's response for a wide range of various unimodal and bimodal log-normal distributions. The sensitivity of the procedure to random errors in the measured data as well as in the response matrix elements has been checked. The application of the program to data from atomizer-generated test aerosols is demonstrated. Keywords
