Abstract
A versatile specimen manipulator for use in uhv has been developed based on the principle of a ball joint. A special feature of this design is that the specimen holder, which is attached to the ball can be cooled by cooling the cup. In this way full freedom of motion, including 90 degrees flip, for the specimen holder is obtained. Keywords
