Abstract
This paper addresses a new PU algorithm based on the fusion of a region growing and an iteratively working 2D least-square PU. By the mutual support of the two algorithms it is possible to combine the advantages of both and to eliminate the errors occurring if each one is working independently. The resulting unwrapped phase is characterised by a local stability gained from the contribution of the global method as well as the global stability given by the local method. The performance of the presented PU fusion is significantly better in comparison to the performance of the conventional methods. Keywords
