Abstract
Some special problems of interacting fields that contain removable divergences are treated in detail. Comparisons with the power series renormalization procedures are made. Examination of the closed forms of the solutions before and after renormalization shows that, in one special case solved, coupling-constant renormalization cannot be obtained by any limiting processes that involve only real values of the unrenormalized coupling constant. Keywords
