Abstract
Results are reported of measurements made at very low angles of 2880-Mc vertically-polarized signals over wooded areas, with the elevation angle to the transmitter the principal variable. The effects of one tree and of many trees on the apparent location of a signal source, as determined with a narrow-beam antenna, are reported. A hypothetical direction-finding system is assumed and its pointing characteristics determined. Keywords
