Abstract
An iterative procedure analogous to Wagner's method for the numerical evaluation of the Fredholm integral equation has been proposed for the solution of Heitler's integral equation on radiation damping. It has been applied to the scattering of mesons by nucleons. The solution for the scattering of mesons by neutrons agrees with that of Hsueh and Ma, and Goldberger. For the scattering of mesons by protons, the solution has been taken up to the first approximation; the energy dependence and the angular distribution of the scattering cross section are shown in the accompanying figures.
