Abstract
The structure of linear polyethylene filled with various solid particles (glass beads, silica, kaolin) was examined by using scanning electron microscopy. The mode of attachment of filler particles to semicrystalline polymer was of particular interest. The filler particles were bonded to polymer by polyethylene fibrillar links whose number depended upon the properties of the filler. Keywords
