Abstract
The hydroid of the Anthomedusa Bougainvillia britannica Forbes has not been known with certainty, though its identity with B. flavida Hartlaub has appeared probable. From colonies found on Aporrhais pespelecani in the Firth of Clyde medusae of B. britannica have been reared. A description and figures of the hydroid and the young stages of the medusa are given.Bougainvillia flavida Hartlaub and B. linearis (Alder) are junior synonyms of B. britannica Forbes. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
