Abstract
This paper explains why Sheffield and North Trent College of Nursing and Midwifery, commissioned the production of a database and a guidebook to support their staff, in their preparation for integration within the University of Sheffield in 1995. The paper overviews the context of research funding for nurses and the criteria normally applied by funders of research to proposals received. The college hopes that the provision of this support will enable their staff to 'get funded and get published'.Keywords
