The olfactory response of three species of predacious phytoseiid mites (Acarina: Gamasina) to a prey tetranychid species

Abstract

Experiments with a Y-tube olfactometer showed that P. persimilis is more strongly attracted to its prey, T. pacificus, than are A. degenerans and A. andersoni. A. degenerons is more strongly attracted to the prey when starved than when well-fed.
