Abstract
Examination of voucher specimens of ragwort seed flies reared from puparia imported into New Zealand from England between 1928 and 1936 has revealed that both Pegohylemyia jacobaeae (Hardy) and P. seneciella (Meade) were present in the consignments. Diagnostic characters for separating adults of these species are described and illustrated.
