Blood Groups of the Burmese Population

Abstract

Blood specimens from 14 population groups in Burma were tested with anti-A_1, -A₂, -B, -M, -N, -S, and 5 Rh antisera. A few groups were tested with anti-Kell. The present observations support the view that the Burmese population is mainly Mongoloid but with some mixture with Indians.
