Abstract
Boards, petri dishes, and glass plates sprayed with DDT solns., emulsions, and suspensions were exposed to u.-v. light and to sunlight. Duplicate treatments were unexposed as checks. In the DDT solns. 15% of various auxiliary solvents were included. Exposure to both u.-v. light and sunlight reduced the effectiveness of the treatments in most cases, as shown by the time required to give a knockdown of houseflies, Musca domestica,. With several highboiling auxiliary solvents, however, this reduction was particularly severe. Keywords
