Abstract
It is shown that the dielectrophoretic collection of bacteria can be characterised by measuring the impedance change between electrodes in a cell made using standard microfabrication techniques. This new method offers the potential for rapid, on-line characterisation of submicrometre microbiological particles not visible to optical microscopes. Keywords
