Abstract
Temperature dependence of Raman spectra of Rb2ZnBr4, [N(CH3)4]2ZnCl4 and [N(CH3)4]2CoCl4, are obtained in the temperature region including their normal-incommensurate(Ti) and incommensurate-commensurate(Tc) transition points. In Rb2ZnBr4, A1 soft mode is observed whose frequency shift decreases as Ti is approached from below. Detailed spectra near the Rayleigh line are obtained by using an I2-filter. In [N(CH3)4]2ZnCl4 and [N(CH3)4]2CoCl4, remarkable temperature dependence of the Raman spectra is not observed. Keywords
