Proton decay via three-quark fusion

Abstract
The contribution to proton decay of three-quark fusion () is computed in the MIT bag model. Ambiguities in the calculation are discussed, and comparisons with other approaches are given. A suggestion for displaying uncertainties in proton-lifetime predictions is introduced.
