Abstract

Porphyrin and its derivatives were dissolved in pyridine, and irradiated in an atmosphere of 0. Sunlight and 300 Watt lamps but not ultra-violet light were useful. The numerous oxidation products were identified by analysis, and by spectroscopic examinations of their solns.
