Abstract
Chylous ascites following vagotomy is of utmost rarity, the second instance in the world literature being herein described. It is probably due to injury to an anomalous lymph-duct at operation. Treatment should be conservative at first, but if ascitic fluid reaccumulates after repeated paracentesis the damaged vessel should be sought operatively. Keywords
