Abstract
A new packaging technique for compensating temperature dependence of fibre Bragg gratings (FBGs) based on the use of liquid crystalline polymer tubes is proposed, and the temperature dependence of the Bragg wavelength as little as 0.13 nm/100°C is demonstrated. The technique is simple and potentially applicable to long FBGs.Keywords
