Abstract
4-Chloroaniline was metabolized in a liquid growth medium by a Streptomyces sp. isolated from soil. After 60 h of incubation the aniline disappeared, and several metabolites could be detected by TLC. 4-Chloroformylaniline and 4-chloroacetanilide were identified. The formation of a formylanilide by the actinomycete indicates a new mechanism of microbial aniline transformation [which may be relevant to herbicide biodegradation.].This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
