Abstract
Zonal necrosis of chondrocytes is a characteristic feature of Kashin-Beck disease. Inferences about chondronecrosis in several spontaneous and experimental arthropathies of other species may be relevant to the cause of Kashin-Beck disease and conceivably, too, banal osteoarthritis in man.Keywords
