Abstract
Jarosite [KFe3(SO4)2(OH)6] was precipitated in cultures of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans growing on ferrous sulfate. This basic ferric sulfate was characterized by X-ray diffraction patterns and IR spectra and was very similar to jarosite produced chemically from acidic ferric sulfate. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
