Spin-singlet pairing mechanism in magnon-pairing theories

Abstract
A microscopic model producing hole attraction in the planes is proposed based on competing magnetic interactions. The present mechanism differs from the recent theories of Goddard and co-workers and Aharony and co-workers by the fact that the pairing here is exclusively of singlet type.
