Abstract
4 patients with the bradycardia-tachycardia syndrome have been treated for 4–13 months with amiodarone at a daily dose of 200 mg for 5–6 days every week. After this treatment was started neither episodes of tachyarrhythmia nor symptomatic bradycardia occurred. Corneal microdeposits without interference with vision were observed in 2 patients, 6 and 7 months after the start of treatment. A trial with low doses of amiodarone could be useful in patients suffering from bradycardia-tachycardia syndrome, before deciding for permanent cardiac pacemaker implantation. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
