Abstract
P. cinnamomi was isolated from virgin and logged rain forest at 2 localities in tropical Queensland. Deaths of a number of commercial timber species have been reported and the fungus was isolated from roots of a number of new host species. These records, the first of P. cinnamomi from Queensland rain forests, cast doubt on claims that the Malaysian (i.e. tropical) element of the Australian flora is resistant to the fungus.
