Abstract
A microprocessor-controlled phase measuring system for high-resolution optical sensors is described. An automatic calibration procedure provides drift compensation and long-term accuracy. Using a 12 bit A/D convertor, phase interpolation with a resolution of 0.12° (∼1/3000 of a period) is demonstrated.Keywords
