The overtone spectrum of acetylene in the vibron model

Abstract
The overtone spectrum of acetylene including all bending and stretching vibrations up to 20 000 cm−1 is calculated within the framework of the vibron model. Properties of the local to normal transition are discussed. It is indicated how the method can be extended to even larger molecules.Keywords
