Abstract
The authors experimentally investigated the allowable fibre input power for installed DSF in WDM transmission systems with both equal and unequal channel spacing allocation. The allowable input powers for both equal and unequal channel spacing systems were higher than the values given by numerical analyses which assumed that there was no fluctuation in the zero-dispersion wavelength of the installed DSF.Keywords
