Transport of living Antarctic zooplankton to a tropical Laboratory: a feasibility study

Abstract
Living zooplankton (including Euphausia superba) were successfully transported from the Antarctic Ocean to a tropical laboratory. Maintenance procedures of zooplankton on board ship and construction details of temperature-insulated boxes used for air transport of living zooplankton are described, together with some results of moulting intervals of E. superba obtained afterwards.
