Abstract
In this paper we have tried to encourage the profession of school psychology in its exciting period of reappraisal. In doing so we have urged that the field take into consideration the knowledge about human behavior that can be gained from an association with young children during their precious, formative years. We have also suggested that there are many innovative opportunities for school psychologists inherent within the field of early childhood education and have urged that they become cognizant of these opportunities and act to realize them. Keywords
