Abstract
A novel method enables the production of lead dioxide-coated electrodes with life times of several thousand hours in certain electrooxidations. The most important step of this technique is described as an adsorption of Ti(IV)-oxalate at the titanium surface. By potential-time plots and by potentiodynamic investigation it is shown, that by Ti(IV)-adsorption the titanium surface is lifted to a higher (more noble) potential and in this way is protected against further dissolution or oxidationKeywords
