Herstellung und quantitative Zusammensetzung protein- und glucosefreier Stützmembranen (R-layers) aus Coli-Zellwänden

Abstract
A method is described by which the R-layer of the coli cell wall can be stripped almost completely of any merely accessory components. The structure remaining is still an intact bag. Its qualitative and quantitative composition suggests that the bag has no essential structural elements other than mucopeptide subunits of known structure.
