Abstract
Showed half-field displays of 4 letters at 50 msec. to 4 Ss who decided whehter or not a probe letter was in each trial display and rated the decision on a 5-point confidence scale. No appreciable differences in sensitivity were observed between the left and the right hemifield information displays. Results suggest that laterality differences observed with multiple-element displays at suprathreshold exposures are more memory/learning than perceptual dependent.
