Abstract
Although there has been some confusion about the persistence of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) into adulthood, several studies1-4 have shown the face validity of ADHD in adults. In fact, community studies5,6 suggest that the prevalence of ADHD in adults is between 4% and 5%. If we apply these rates to the US Census Bureau estimate of the number of adults living in the United States,7 as many as 9.4 million adults may have ADHD.This publication has 27 references indexed in Scilit:
