Abstract
In the last 2 decades, sonographic imaging has become the standard method for evaluating [human] placental disorders. It allows documentation of structural and positional changes in the placenta throughout the course of pregnancy. In this pictorial essay, the more common disorders of the placenta and retroplacental area are reviewed and displayed. Some anatomic-physiologic variations and pathologic processes that they may simulate are included. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
