Abstract
The realisation of large area planar solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) reactors requires the use of metal bipolar plates. Cr-based ODS alloys have been developed for this application. For industrial use of SOFC-stacks, a service life time of approximately 5 years with a low degradation rate is required. In this matter results of long term corrosion tests will be presented. The corrosion tests were carried out under various temperatures and atmospheres (argon, air, oxygen and two humidified fuel gases). Keywords
