Abstract
Human hemoglobin contains 26 primary amide residues per mole. The primary amide content of hemoglobins from patients with sickle cell anemia, polycythemia vera, acute rheumatic fever, subacute bacterial endocarditis and pulmonary infarction was not significantly different from normal hemoglobin.Keywords
