Abstract
Most of the 32P-labelled RNA absorbed to suspended tissue culture cells can be removed by RNase treatment. During the first 15 minutes of incubation - after which time the maximum of adsorption is reached - roughly one third of the cell bound RNA resists RNase treatment (Tab. 2). While on further incubation the total amount of cell bound RNA remains constant, some more of this RNA is converted from an RNase sensitive to an RNase resistant state (Tab. 1).
