Gamma-Ray Bursts from Discharges in Plasmas

Abstract
We show that large-voltage and high-temperature pinch plasma columns can generate hard x-ray and γ-ray flashes with energy spectra and spectral evolution characteristics consistent with those observed in γ-ray bursts.Keywords
