The concept of psychogenesis.

Abstract
The word psychogenic is misleading and inexpedient when used in any meaning other than that of "occasioned by way of the mind." Furthermore, it is an unwarranted assumption to imply that certain mental conditions have no organismal concomitants, since the only valid presumption is that there always is a bodily process of some sort.
