Abstract
This paper proposes several deflnitions of observability for nonlinear systems and explores relationships between them. These observability properties involve the existence of a bound on the norm of the state in terms of the norm of the output on a small time interval. As an application, we prove a LaSalle-like stability theorem for switched non- linear systems. Keywords
