Abstract

An X-ray structure determination of the title compound has shown it to be a dimer involving a novel asymmetric Os₂O₂ bridge system; in solution the bridge breaks to give a pentaco-ordinate monomer [OsO₂(O₂C₆H₁₀)(C₇H₁₃N)].
