Electron capture from H(2s) by protons at intermediate energies

Abstract
Capture cross sections from H(2s) by protons were calculated in the intermediate energy region from 1 to 200 keV. Two methods were applied: the close coupling of atomic states with translation factors, and the classical trajectory Monte Carlo method. Detailed comparisons between these two methods are presented. The theories fill the gap between the molecular treatment at low energies and high-energy approximations.
