Abstract
Exposure to ammonia gas caused severe tissue damage to skin, lungs and eyes. Toxic effects, immediate and delayed, can alter the response to other injuries. A 14-yr-old boy who suffered multiple trauma in a vehicular accident and was exposed to anhydrous ammonia was reported. He exhibited severe pulmonary and ocular damage and other severe injuries, and despite aggressive treatment, died of respiratory failure. Keywords
