Abstract
E2 and M1 hindrance factors are re-examined for K-forbidden transitions in the A=180 mass region. Variations with N and Z are dramatically simplified when expressed as a function of the product NpNn of the valence nucleon numbers. Possible origins of the correlation are discussed. Keywords
