Abstract
We invite comment upon an experiment to locate proteomics on the WWW using a software tool called the IssueCrawler. We call our research “sociomics” because, like the bioscience omics, it is a semi‐automated, computerised approach to the global analysis of data, whose computerised results can be integrated towards the development of a new “systems sociology” approach to the study of society. Our findings are that proteomics on the web is a scale‐free network whose nodes display considerable “dynamic range”.Keywords
